Ultra processed Foods and Health

Ultra processed food are foods that contain ingredients (e.g., preservatives, artificial flavors, etc.) that are not found in a kitchen. They are generally high in fat and added sugars.

These foods have been associated with worse heart health and even, over time, a higher risk of death.

Our diets can have a big impact on our health. This is a major reason Community LIFE has registered dieticians on staff to help participants choose healthy diets.
