Study: PACE participants with disabilities experience fewer SNF admissions

Researchers from Northeast Ohio Medical University, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, and ATI Advisory analyzed data from Community LIFE participants to examine the impact of PACE enrollment among adults with disabilities. The study focused on 51 participants between the ages of 56 and 68 who were enrolled in the Community LIFE PACE program serving the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.

Results concluded that adults with disabilities who participate in the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) are satisfied with their care and spend fewer stays in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), according to a new study.
